Children with autism to gain funding boost

The latest available figures show that in 2005-06, the average recurrent government spending - state and federal combined - was $11,243 per state school student. schools receive funding for computers

The Minister for Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, Ms Julia Gillard, announced on 12 June 2008 that 896 secondary schools across Australia would receive funding for 116, 820 new computers under the Rudd Government’s $1.2 billion Digital Education Revolution. Read more here…

itunes brings universities together

Seven universities across Australia and New Zealand are trialling a partnership with Apple’s iTunes U, a ‘university’ section of the iTunes store that provides students with free lectures, language lessons and audiobooks direct to their iPod, iPhone and computers. Read more here…
